Back In Stock was launched in 2011 by Matt Stubbs. He developed the app after realizing that Shopify store owners are often not prepared when their products go out of stock. eCommerce businesses are always chasing more traffic and conversions. They start campaigns on social media, pay for ads, try getting featured on blogs, etc. But when that works and they suddenly get a surge of customers, their popular products run out of stock. And yes, that’s how they lose revenue.

Store owners can recover some of that lost revenue with Back In Stock. It prompts customers to sign up for a notification when the product they want is available. It sends an alert through email or SMS when store owners restock the product. When customers click on the alert, it leads them to complete their purchase on the online store.

The app helps customers get the exact product they wanted. It notifies customers when the specific variant they were looking for is available. For example, the size or color of the product they selected. This feature makes it more likely that customers will be interested in the product again.

Customers can choose to be notified by either email or SMS. The app displays CTAs on all product pages, such as an “email me when available” button. After the customers click on it, they see a pop-up form. They can then fill in their email address or phone number and choose variants from the drop-down menu.

Store owners can customize the CTA by adding their own button. They can also use the app’s Javascript API to build a custom button. For editing email templates, they can use Liquid which is popular among Shopify store owners.

Back In Stock can be used in more ways than just notifying customers when the product they searched for is available. Store owners can use it for flash sales, coming soon collections, and pre-orders. That’s how businesses can have an ongoing relationship with their customers. It also helps them understand the demand for specific products through analytics and reports.

The app has a free plan which supports five email campaigns. Other than that, there are three paid plans at $19/mo, $39/mo, and $59/mo. The paid plans support both email and SMS and start from 100 campaigns. They also allow integration with MailChimp, Klaviyo, and more. As of now, any user who hasn’t used this app earlier can grab a free 14-day trial.

Point of Sale (POS) is an app from Shopify itself. It helps store owners organize business decisions from their retail and online stores in one place. Shopify POS helps both digital and physical stores run in sync. That’s how it empowers eCommerce businesses to manage them together in a better way.

Store owners can create customer profiles with the app. They can collect data from their customers both online and in-person, making customer profiles help store owners understand their customers and target them better in future campaigns.

The app has many more features for building better relationships with customers. Store owners can send gift cards, emails, and SMS to both online and retail customers. And if a retail store customer wants to buy products later, store owners can email them their carts to complete the purchase online. It also allows customers to purchase something online and pick it up at a retail store.

Customers can choose to split payments and pay the rest online. Another convenient option for them is to return a product at a retail store that they purchased online and vice versa. These features enhance customer experience and loyalty.

Shopify POS makes it easy for store owners to keep track of their inventory and orders. They can manage their inventory through one product catalog. Other than this, they can organize products and variants with unlimited SKUs. Store owners can also accept payments anywhere through their mobile devices. They can also receive a variety of payments at low rates. To offer more functionality, the app integrates with hundreds of other apps to help store owners manage and market better.

The app has a free version and a paid plan that comes at $89/mo. The premium version streamlines the process of online and retail store management even more. It makes it easy for store owners to manage their staff, track payments, measure sales performance, manage inventory with Stocky, save and retrieve carts, send custom receipts, and much more. Currently, POS is giving away a free 14-day trial.

ParcelPanel Order tracking Pro was developed by the company UpperCommerce. Their mission is to provide high-quality solutions for all Shopify businesses and this is one of their most popular applications. It’s an app designed to track all the Shopify orders for a company while boosting their sales at the same time.

The platform has three main features – real-time shipment tracking, branded tracking page creator, and automatic email notifications.

This app solves all the tracking problems of a store. It sends proactive e-mail notifications to customers and allows them to check how their delivery is going through an order number they’ll receive.

It automatically creates an attractive branded tracking page so that the customers will visually remember the company and brand they purchased from. This page is also under the store’s domain and uses the same design as the one utilized for the main website.

SEO optimization is yet another thing offered by this app. Along with this, it can show product recommendations to customers based on the items they already have in their cart.
Plus it owns a terrific customer service team that is ready to help out in case any questions or issues arise.

This is an app created specifically for dropshipping businesses so it integrates really well with Shopify. One of the features created explicitly for the eCommerce store is hiding the Chinese carrier name and logo. It will show the tracking information in the customer’s local language and on a custom tracking page.

ParcelPanel has four different pricing plans. There’s a free option and three paid ones. The cheapest one starts at $9. Medium one costs $19 per month. Platinum is the most expensive option and has the most features in it so it will cost a business $99 each month.

Customers can get shipping options on the Checkout page from over 30 carriers and can switch between them with a single click.

Shipping is made faster by Packlink as users can build workflows and automate large chunks of shipment process such as printing labels and packing. It also offers the opportunity to ship products worldwide, no matter where the store operates from.

The platform is free to install. However, there’s a custom pricing that depends on the number of shipping labels that get purchased.

The company’s mission is to make eCommerce simple by developing elegant and affordable solutions. They aim to make online sales easier and have worked with over 30k businesses and have developed more than 850 products. The Etsy Marketplace Integration is one of them.
